How to Bring More Traffic...?

Hi dear Readers!

My gallery has just been up for no more than a week..and I thanked you for all the supports you have given me. But I still need to bring more traffic to my blog in order to get more recognition that in turns may help me to sell my portraits:-)
I'm just a newbie in the Internet business, and I need more help in advertising my blog (for free, of course!)...
So, for Internet experts out there, I welcome any suggestions or constructive ideas to bring more traffic to my blog. Hope you can help me!

Thanks and happy blogging!

Help me by Buying my Pencil Portraits...

Hi readers,

Initially, I made this blog as a personal gallery for my own viewing pleasure and to share it with all of you out there. This is something you should know about me, I'm just a simple housewife who's trying and hoping to make a living by venturing into the Internet business. That way, I can help a lot of people around me, financially speaking.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, I realized that my husband have had some financial problems. He didn't tell me, but I managed to figure it out. Oh, it's not a life-death situation:-) It's just something that would make our lives a little bit easier, considering the global financial crisis that we're all facing right now.

I don't like to see my husband depressed and I really..really want to help him out. You see, I was thinking that if I only I can raise at least $1000 by the next two months, then everything would be fine. We can pay off all our debts and life would be much happier and merrier..if only...

Before this, I tried almost everything that could make me earned money via Internet, but at the end of the day, I only managed to gain a few dollars a month:-)Talking about bad luck...!
Then, when I was drawing my portrait (some sort of a way to release my tension that is building), I suddenly thought about selling the portrait.

I know that there are a lot, and I mean a lot of artists out there who can draw more beautiful and exquisite hand-drawn portrait that I can (I am newbie, after all). But, this is worth a try. If I can sell at least 30-35 celebrity portrait in... like the next two months, maybe I can achieved $1000. I know that right now, I have only 4 celebrity portraits that I can sell, that is - Jensen Ackles, Enrique Inglesias, Gone with the Wind and Kate/Sawyer. So, I need to draw a lot more of celebrity portrait!

But before going off into a wild goose chase, I really would like your honest opinion or your comment on this. I mean, can I do this, will this actually work or simply just one of those hard to achieve dreams...?

Help! I need lots of opinions and views right now, so that I can finally make up my mind...

A Romantic Scene from Gone With The Wind...

Hello...

My next portrait is a romantic scene which I'd selected from the epic love movie/novel of all times entitled, "Gone With The Wind", starring Clark Gable as the dashing Rhett Butler and Vivien Leigh as the pampered and beautiful Scarlett O' Hara.

Jensen Ackles Pencil Portrait

Hello,

After doing Enrique, I decided to picked Jensen Ackles aka 'Dean' as my second 'model':-) I really like this actor from 'Supernatural' and I also likes his face:-) For me, this guy has a very distinctive features written all over his face and it was an honor to be able to draw him...!

The present ..Enrique Inglesias...

Hi all!

In my first post, I talked about reminiscing my childhood memories of drawing portraits...Well after finishing high school, I abruptly stopped drawing portrait, as there was lots of other important things to do...such as getting a degree, find a job, get married and so on...:-)

Then after about 15 years later, my hands suddenly feels itchy to get back into drawing again. I guessed it was my passion, and after all these years, the passion was still deep inside me, although it had been a long time since I picked up a pencil and draw..

I didn't know whether the talent is still in me, but nevertheless, I had to try...So, for my first celebrity portrait after years of neglect is ...Enrique Inglesias!

Well, what do you think of this portrait?
I know...I know.. I still need to polish up my skills:-)..there's still many elements missing in this portrait and I wish I will do better for the next one...

p/s - a little comment would be nice...:-D

My pencil portraits...

Hi all...

First time I started drawing portraits was when I was in high school (about 15 years ago...!). One day, an art teacher taught us all about how to draw portraits of people. It was just a brief explanation, but since then I got very drawn into portraits. I started to draw celebrity portraits and it became my pastime hobby. When you draw, it's as if you can see that they grew alive right in front of your eyes. And when you finished a portrait that looked similar to the real person, you will feel a sense of satisfaction like no other...

Below is several celebrity portraits which I had drawn when I was about 13-15 years old. I was only able to find these few portraits after rummaging through my old stuffs. The portraits looked old and a little bit blurry but it's still held many nostalgic memories for me in my childhood days...I want to share those memories with you too...
